LIP AUGMENTATION
Lip augmentation refers to adding shape and volume to the lip. This is achieved by injecting dermal filler along the lip border and also into the lip until the the clients desired outcome is achieved.
DOES THE PROCEDURE HURT?
At Ny Beauti Aesthetics, everything is done to make any discomfort minimal.
A fine needle is used and local anaesthetic can be given in the form of:
-topical cream
-combined inside the dermal filler
-special dental block to completely numb the area to make it pain free
WILL THERE BE SWELLING?
The lips may show small swelling initially but this usually subsides within 48 hours.
Any swelling and possible bruising will have completely subsided by 2 weeks.
HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?
Usually 6 months but can last 8-12 months on repeated treatments.
WHAT ARE DERMAL FILLERS THAT YOU INJECT?
Skin naturally produces hyaluronic acid (HA) when you are young, which keeps the skin full, hydrated and elastic. Dermal fillers mimic the effects of HA causing reduced facial lines, scars and increased plumpness of skin and lips. It is also commonly used to treat lines caused by smoking and sun damage.
WHEN ARE ARE RESULTS NOTICED?
Results are evident immediately. Softening of facial lines, wrinkles and scars is clear and plumpness of new lips instant. Minimal swelling and reddening may appear but this should fade quite quickly and is temporary.
